The personification of the unconscious.
The Shadow, as psychiatrist Carl Jung described it, is the shameful part of our self that we refuse to acknowledge – the unconscious. We all have one.
In this one night performance, Rachel Hines performed as Maggie Hudson’s Shadow. Rachel spoke continuously into Maggie’s ear all the concerns of the Shadow self – the insecure, the malicious, the judgmental, the depressing. Maggie attempted to interact with the crowd, denying what was plainly visible to others.
